Abstract

The Montreal and Kyoto Protocol both had framed two different sets of regulations applicable to the developed and developing countries (Annex I and Non Annex I countries as per Kyoto Protocol). Apparently, stringent rules are applied to developed countries as they have been identified as the major polluters. These discriminatory approaches of tackling a common problem have opened all the possible opportunities to convert a potential climate change related crisis into a multi-billion dollar business model.
