Abstract

Nowadays, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a management model for organizations, and Ecuador is not the exception, in this sense the business sector constantly seeks to contribute with its practices in order to answer to the needs and expectations of its stakeholders, always considering the economic and sustainable development of its companies as a fundamental pillar. The objective of this research is to analyze issues concerning the economic dimension of CSR of enterprises in the Southern Zone of Ecuador, the relationship that exists between social responsibility actions and the economic part of the company, as well as the degree of importance that stakeholders have for the sustainability of the entrepreneurship. For this study, a documentary review and analysis and surveys of administrators, managers and/or owners of 384 enterprises in southern Ecuador were carried out. Among the main conclusions in the field of CSR, it was determined that there is a great concern of enterprises to maintain a dialogic model with their stakeholders in order to achieve an alignment and implementation of business management strategies concerning corporate sustainability and social responsibility which leads to the financial sustainability of their entrepreneurship.
