Abstract

The objectives of the study are to determine ways to increase the competitiveness of the textile industries in Egypt by analyzing all the obstacles and problems of this sector and to modify what impedes its growth and development and to develop a future vision for its advancement and increase its relative weight in the Egyptian economy. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the inductive method was used in the theoretical study and preparation of the field side on the list of the questionnaire addressed to the sample vocabulary and the use of statistical analysis to ascertain the validity of the hypotheses. The study reached the following results: 1) There is a relationship and the impact of high cotton prices and low area and the deterioration of the textile industry where the correlation coefficient was 0.264 at a significant level 0.01. 2) There is a relationship and impact of the lack of funding necessary to modernize machinery and the deterioration of the textile industry where the correlation coefficient was 0.379 at a significant level 0.01. 3) There is a relationship and the impact of weak performance of technical employment and the deterioration of the textile industry where the correlation coefficient was 0.481 at a level of 0.01. 4) There is a relationship and influence for the import of high quality textile products low price and deterioration of the textile industry where the correlation coefficient was 0.482 at a significant level 0.01. 5) There is no relationship between the environmental requirements and the deterioration of the spinning and weaving industry due to the low correlation coefficient and its proximity to zero, the correlation coefficient value was 0.063. However, this relationship was statistically insignificant. The most important recommendations of the researcher include the following: 1) Reforming the Egyptian industry and agriculture system to benefit from the benefit of Egyptian cotton. 2) Pumping the necessary investments for replacement and renewal projects in the public sector companies. 3) Pay attention to the training programs for the employees on an ongoing basis to raise their skills. 4) Prohibition of the import of foreign cotton except in case of insufficient supply of Egyptian cotton. 5) Contribute to the support of factories to preserve the environment.
