Abstract

The study aims to explore the electronic commerce entrepreneurs' professional knowledge in the service industry of the Taiwan area. To achieve this goal, the study uses interviews, panel discussions and Mental Mapping to confirm entrepreneurs' professional knowledge. In addition, the study utilizes transformation of knowledge and ability to select representative knowledge items and to confirm the professional knowledge structure of entrepreneurs through mental mapping. Entrepreneurs in electronic commerce times should have these ten categories, totaling 90 items, such as essential professional knowledge item; that is, entrepreneur and entrepreneur's opportunity, marketing, economics, finance, accounting, management, global market, legal and business planning, in order to cultivate entrepreneurs' abilities of e-commerce effectively. Core professional knowledge of electronic commerce entrepreneurs should total 45 items including marketing ability, management ability, information ability, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial opportunities and so on.
