Abstract
• A novel approach to analyse population reaction to COVID-19 was presented. • Positive and negative outbreak in Italy have been measured from tweets • The higher the number of cases the higher interest rate on coronavirus. • The negative outbreak overcomes the positive one but tends to diminish over time • Differences among Regions in terms of interest smoothened after the national lockdown.
