Abstract

A theoretical model, describing the dynamics of sound waves in an elastic thin-walled tube, filled with bubble fluid is proposed. The dispersion equation is obtained, on the base of which the numerical values of the phase velocity and the logarithmic decrement are obtained. It has been established that for sound waves extending over the bubble fluid, which is located in a tube with elastic walls, there is a frequency band that is characterized by a strong wave damping. It is shown that the value of the phase velocity of sound waves in a bubbly liquid in the low-frequency region for an elastic tube is lower than that of a similar parameter in the case of a tube with “rigid” walls.
