Abstract

The proverb is a literary genre that takes shape in speech. To this end, it is part of a context of communication. Through him, with him and through him, we manage to establish a relationship with others. The proverb is undoubtedly a means of transmitting knowledge that gives form to reality. At the Dida, his eternal presence in his daily life gives him a multidisciplinary dimension. In this way, it integrates several other discourses within it to interpret society and give it meaning. Far from it, the proverb is not fixed even less timeless. It is a discourse that, in Dida, interacts with other discourses in order to reflect its identity. The present study, which relies on sociolinguistics as a methodological support, aims to show how in its functioning, the proverb interacts with other discourses to account for the existential realities of the people.
