Abstract
The subject of this paper is to derive and apply a macroscopic model for an annular plate with a dense system of ribs in radial and angular directions. The main feature of the proposed mathematical model is that the size of the microstructure (the distance between the ribs) is comparable to the thickness of the plate. The formulation of an approximate mathematical model of those plates is based on the tolerance averaging approach by Wozniak et al. [12, 13]. The general results of the contribution will be illustrated by the analysis of natural vibrations of the plate. It will be carried out by validation of averaged equations of motion and comparison to the results from finite element method (Abaqus program).
