Abstract
Abstract A second collaborative study was made to compare Dumas with Kjeldahl methods for nitrogen determination in agricultural feed materials. The Dumas method used was the Nitrogen Analyzer II, Coleman Model 29A. The two methods were compared by ten participating laboratories on seven feed materials and one organic standard compound. Results for the Dumas procedure were in good agreement with the AOAC Kjeldahl method, and a high order of precision was achieved. It is recommended that the Dumas method be adopted as official, first action.
