Abstract

The Drug Spotlight Program is a hospital-based program of continuing education in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. It will suggest actual or potential therapeutic problems that the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of the medical staff may wish to study through a review of hospital records. It will also make available, through JAMA and other participating professional journals, timely and pertinent scientific reports on the problems in question. These reports will be a valuable source of information if the medical staff wishes to conduct an educational program on some aspect of the problem. Cooperating in this program are the following organizations: American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Physicians, American College of Surgeons, American Hospital Association, American Medical Association, American Nurses Association, American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, American Society of Hospital Pharmacists, Association of American Medical Colleges, Association for Hospital Medical Education, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals.
