Abstract
In this paper we study the weaknesses of the test case prioritization algorithms based on statement code coverage and applied to the domain test cases. We present the inconsistency between the principles of domain testing and the selection and prioritization practices over domain test cases on criteria unrelated to the scope of the domain testing. We continue the study by discussing the impact of 100% statement code coverage over the suites of domain test cases, studying why this type of code coverage should not produce effects over the domain test cases. Statement code coverage prioritization techniques related to unit testing, integration testing and regression testing phases are discussed, emphasizing the incompatibility between statement code coverage, domain testing and test case prioritization all at once.
