Abstract

The Dialysis Outcomes and Practice Patterns Study (DOPPS) Practice Monitor1 (DPM) was developed to inform the dialysis community of contemporary trends in dialysis treatment practices and patient outcomes, with the launch in 2010 timed to follow care before and after implementation of the end-stage renal disease prospective payment system (PPS) by the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in January 2011. Publicly available updates are provided every 4 months at the DPM website (www.dopps.org/DPM).
