Mariel Marshall talks with Lisa Cooke Ravensbergen about her work Citation, which uses listening, reciprocal action, and adoption of responsibility by the audience as a tool for decolonizing the performer-audience relationship. Ravensbergen notes, “ Citation could be my way of allowing for a story to not just be a story but a sharing. To be ceremony grounded in the fact that Indigenous bodies owe settler bodies nothing.”
