Abstract

Objective To investigate the disinfection effect of pressure steam sterilization on hepatitis B surface antigen in dental high speed handpiece.Methods A total of 30 polluted high-speed handpiece of stomatology department by hepatitis B patients were randomly divided into A,B,C three groups,group A was used 2% glutaraldehyde immersion disinfection,group B was used disinfectant disinfection method,group C was used pressure steam sterilization,The positive rate of HBsAg in high-speed mobile phone by 3 ways of disinfecting was detected by ELISA method.Results The positive rate of HBsAg was 30% in dental high speed handpiece,HBsAg were negative between group A and group C,the positive rate of HBsAg was 10% in group B.No bacterial growth in group A and C group,bacteria exceed the standard rate was 10% in group B.Conclusions The disinfection effect of pressure steam sterilization in dental high speed handpiece is good; it does not cause environmental pollution and it is a ideal method in disinfection of dental high-speed handpiece.
