Abstract

This article examines the holdings of the Duke University Medical School Library's History of Medicine Collections, including the Trent Collection. It provides a generalized topical description of the collections' contents, as well as an exploration of specific resources that can be used to study the diseased body in medieval and early modern Europe. Bibliographic notations direct the nonspecialist to further readings on the subject.
