Abstract

Let me first thank Dr. Mark Malangoni, immediate past-president and long-standing good friend of mine, for his kind, generous, and witty introduction. The same way one does not choose parents, presidents of the Central Surgical Association cannot choose who will introduce them. In my case, it is obvious that I could not have chosen a better person for my introduction.
