Abstract
DR. L. J. BURPEE was well known as an authority on the exploration of Canada, and in this work naturally draws on his own researches. But the book is much more than repetition. It covers a long period, from the rather vague discoveries of the Norsemen to the voyage of Sergeant Larsen through the North -West Passage in 1940–42.
