Abstract

The mass transfer rates obtained from experiments for aqueous solutions of inorganic acids and alkali are presented. It is shown that the nonequilibrium evaporation rate versus the discharge current characteristic has an S-shaped form. It is suggested that the break area in the current curve corresponds to the change of the mass transfer mechanism.
