Abstract

A technique for the restoration of fractured anterior teeth is reported in which composite material is placed directly on the etched enamel surface without using an intermediate bonding agent. Of 85 restorations in 71 patients, 94 per cent of the restorations were intact after an observation period of up to 18 months. The advantages of the technique are discussed.
