Abstract

The paper examines the involvement of social workers in the political scene, particularly in the District Boards in Hong Kong. It provides a brief review of existing theoretical frameworks related to political participation and attempts to use these frameworks in analysing the involvement of social workers in the political arena. Various problems facing social workers in political participation are also identified.
