Abstract

Minorities need more attention because they are disadvantaged in numbers and location. The present paper reviews the implementation and popularization of bilingual education for ethnic minorities, which aims to have some strategic implications. This article aims to solve the problem which is about the family dimension. After reviewing previous papers, the main arguments were: firstly, parents’ attitude towards bilingual education. Secondly, the language types used by family members on daily basis directly affect children's choice of language to a certain extent. Thirdly, some ethnic minority areas have their customs and old feudal ideas. This study inspires future family members to have a positive attitude about bilingual education.
