Abstract
AbstractAn experimental investigation into the diffusion of a direct dye into the edges of a viscose sheet is described. The results of these experiments are used to test the diffusion‐adsorption theory of Standing, Warwicker, and Willis. It is shown how this theory can be extended to allow for the effect of sodium chloride concentration on the diffusion coefficients.
