Abstract

Quantative procedure for microstructure characterization on the base x-ray rocking curve technique are developed for recrystallized polycrystalline. The technique allows to measure a volume fraction of recrystallized grains (f r ) and its grain size distribution for a variety of grain orientations. The technique application for investigation of dynamic and static recrystallization Ti extrusions and TiAl intermetallic after HIP and annealing has been demonstrated in the present paper. The damage accumulation under loading in form subgrain fragmentation was determined from the chang in rocking curve pattern for Ni-superalloys.
