Abstract

This article reveals the effectiveness of students’ communication, social adaptation and social integration determined by Social Intelligence (SQ) as an essential intellectual ability. When exploring culture in EFL setting the teacher of English needs to focus on fostering the social awareness and social comfort of the students. While SQ stresses the external behavior of the students, Emotional Intelligence (EQ) as an internal structure focuses on internal personality that directly impacts the effective communication with other students. EQ is built of emotions that are complex affective reactions, unexpected and momentary, accompanied by physiological disturbances, which mirror the attitude of the individual towards reality. EQ plays a crucial part in students’ processes of shaping their learning since they perceive the environment, comprehend the circumstances, and respond to them. EQ is characterized as a transient emotional experience that associates a particular feature of human interaction to an experience or a circumstance, constantly shaping and restructuring SQ.
