Abstract

The problems of global warming, climate change, carbon emission, environmental pollutions and oil dependency are getting serious. Furthermore, energy conservation, environmental protection and sustainable development are growing concern, so how to make electric vehicles (EVs) feasible and popularized is an important topic. The purpose of this research is to promote the EV industry in Taiwan by referring the EV industry of eight countries. The strategies and comments are proposed accordingly. We do the SWOT analysis and industry factors analysis on Taiwan EV industry firstly. Then we also propose entry strategy, marketing and promotion strategies, and after service strategy to overcome the weaknesses and threat of Taiwan EV industry. While the legislation and infrastructure installation of EV are accomplished, this will help the development of the EV industry. In conclusion, the development of electric vehicle industry may reduce the environmental pollutions and oil dependency, create job opportunities, and thereby promote economic growth. We can expect the EV industry in Taiwan is going to be successful.
