Abstract

AbstractA survey is presented of the many factors involved in developing and evaluating a semi-solid dosage form. Subject areas discussed are: pre-formulation, formulation, particle size distribution, rheology, lot to lot consistency, microbial contamination, stability, in vivo testing, toxicity testing, clinical evaluation and scaling-up.
