Introduction: Infarction stroke is the most common stroke affecting millions of people worldwide, most patients die or are permanently disabled, so proper planning is needed. Nursing intervention on the clinical pathway is a planning guideline in giving nursing care to patients. Objective: This study aimed to develop a nursing intervention based on Indonesian nursing intervention standards on the clinical pathway of infarction stroke. Method: The design in this study is research and development (R&D) with a descriptive approach. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling technique by setting inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample in this study was a clinical pathway client for stroke infarction and medical records of clients with stroke infarction with 122 medical records. The research instrument used an observation sheet. The data in this study were analysed using univariate analysis. Results: The results showed that most nursing interventions based on the Indonesian nursing intervention standard on the clinical pathway of infarction stroke (93) were mobilization support (I.05173) with nursing actions including monitoring heart frequency and blood pressure before starting mobilization, monitoring the general condition while doing mobilization and encourage simple mobilization. Conclusion: Nursing interventions developed in infarction stroke clients clinical pathway instruments are prepared based on the Indonesian nursing intervention standards, including mobilization support, fall prevention, communication promotion: speech deficits and management of increased intracranial pressure. Nursing interventions developed on clinical pathways must be evidence-based so that they can improve the quality of nursing care given to patients. © 2019, Indian Journal of Public Health Research and Development.
