Abstract

A novel measurement system is developed to measure the magnetic field (MF) shielding effectiveness (SE) in near field for magnetic shielding materials. The system consists of a cylinder, signal generator and receiver. To avoid the leakage of magnetic field, the material of both cylinder and lid are designed to be high magnetic permeability and good electrical conductivity, also low cost and easily processed. Considering the magnetic SE was proportional to the thickness of cylinder, the thickness, resource and feasibility are well balanced. In the end, the system is used to measure the magnetic SE of Emmo alloy film and non-woven conductive fabric and shows great performance.
