Abstract

In order to decrease exhaust gas emission of a gasoline engine together with the improvement of transient response, it is necessary to atomize the spray droplets of an injector. The purpose of this study is to obtain the relationship between the droplet size of a spray and orifice configuration at fuel injector. As a result of this study, we develop a fine atomization injector, characterized by multi hole orifice and cross flow to spray direction.
