Abstract

The development of a university sports complex requires an integrated planning, scheduling and management approach, a requirement which is underscored by the desired to overlap design and construction activities in order to complete the facility on an accelerated schedule. The analysis of the project utilizes project management techniques: development of network models, identification of critical paths, and scheduling, cost control and resource allocation considerations. The use of computerized project planning and control tools provides flexibility and enables easy modification of the plans.
