The phenomenon of industrial cluster is more and more obvious in the international shipbuilding industry. Cluster analysis has become an important strategic tool for the development of shipbuilding industry in various regions. Industrial clusters have many advantages, such as reducing production costs, strengthening collaborative innovation, creating market brands, and improving market competitiveness, which has been proved to be an efficient form of production organization by many practices at home and abroad. Influenced by the international financial crisis, the international shipping market is in a downturn. Taking Jiangsu shipbuilding industry cluster as an example, this paper constructs a complex network map of shipbuilding industry cluster. Then, this paper quantitatively evaluates the agglomeration degree of shipbuilding industry clusters in coastal areas by using the location entropy coefficient. Finally, this paper examines the characteristics of regional differentiation of ship industrial structure in coastal provinces.
