Abstract

Vulnerable groups in society more or less feel excluded or experience, but they rarely attract attention, especially the tourism informal employment groups. This study developed the social exclusion perception scale of tourism informal employment residents, and verified the multidimensional structure of residents' social exclusion perception. The perceived social exclusion is a five-dimensional structure, including economic exclusion, career development exclusion, political exclusion, identity exclusion and social relations exclusion. The study found that residents have a strong sense of social exclusion, and the majority of people who are engaged in tourism informal employment are middle-aged and low educated women who live in the countryside, and most of them work to provide tourists with food.
