The development and application of caring-oriented disability human rights education program for early childhood teacher

Abstract

본 연구는 유아교사를 위한 배려지향 장애인권교육프로그램을 개발하고 교육프로그램의 효과성을 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위해 개발된 배려지향 장애인권교육프로그램의 목적은 유아교사의 장애인권옹호 및 배려윤리의 실천을 증대하는 것이다. 연구대상은 I시에 근무하고 있는 유아교사 34명이다. 본 프로그램에 참여 신청한 유아교사를 대상으로 실험집단 17명은 본 연구에서 개발한 배려지향 장애인권교육프로그램을, 비교집단 17명은 장애인권교육에 대한 일반적인 자료를 이메일을 통한 서면으로 제공하였다. 연구결과, 배려지향 장애인권교육프로그램은 유아교사의 배려(Caring), 장애인에 대한 사회적 거리감, 장애인권감수성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 개발된 유아교사를 위한 배려지향 장애인권교육프로그램은 배려의 개념을 장애인권교육에 접목시켜 현장의 유아교 사들의 통합교육 및 장애인권교육에 활용될 수 있도록 개발했다는 점에서 큰 의의를 지니고 있다.The purpose of this research is to develop an educational program that will allow on-site early childhood education teachers to practice disability rights education as well as to examine the effects of the program. In order to investigate the effect of the program, 34 early childhood teachers in Incheon city who participated in the care - oriented disability human rights education program as the experimental group(17) and the control group. The results showed that the care - oriented human rights education program positively affected the caring tendency of early childhood teachers and sensitivity to disability rights. This study is significant in that it developed an effective care-oriented disability rights education program, incorporating the concept of care in disability rights education; using this, early childhood educators can utilize the program in an integrated education and disability rights education program, increasing their effectiveness when working with children with disabilities.
