The developing mechanism of the disposable full closed sheath and auxiliary device of the gastrointestinal endoscope

Abstract

Objective To explore the method of solving complex disinfection procedures of gastrointestinal endoscope and hospital-acquired infection with the disposable full closed sheath and auxiliary device of the gastrointestinal endoscope. Methods The disposable full closed sheath and auxiliary device of the gastrointestinal endoscope consisted of disposable cover film, inner sleeve, bracket with five channels, lens, cover for lens fixed, nozzle transparent cap, reusable injection and suction pump, pedal control switch, and silicone tube, etc, which could fully protect the inner channel of gastrointestinal endoscope and surface of the lens, and had reusable function such as gas injection, water injection and suction as well as therapeutic effect. Result The design and production of the model——the disposable full closed sheath and auxiliary device of the gastrointestinal endoscope was completed, through overcoming the technical difficulty and the repeated testing. Conclusions Not only have the disposable full closed sheath and auxiliary device of the gastrointestinal endoscope no influence on the operation of the gastrointestinal endoscope and inspection result, they can simplify the procedures, lower the cost, and save the time during the disinfection operation, which are of great significance for putting an end to hospital-acquired infection resulted from gastrointestinal endoscopy.
