Abstract

Volatile components were extracted from pulp and leaf of fresh of loquat (Eriobotyra japonica Lindl.) ‘Zaozhong 6’ by solid phase micro-extraction (SPME), and analyzed by GC-MS. In fresh fruit pulp, 89 peaks were separated, and 42 compounds were identified, accounting for 71.9% of total volatile components. The major part of volatiles comprised carbonyls and alkanes. The main components include β-ionone, decanoic acid, propanoic acid, bicycle nonane, heptadecane. In fresh leaf, 102 peaks were separated, and within which 63 compounds were identified, accounting for 97.0% of total volatile components. Quantitative RPAC revealed α-gurjunene and caryophyllene as major aroma compounds.
