Abstract

In this paper the internal specific surface of a crystalline-amorphous two-phase system, Cu73Sn6Ni6P15 metallic glass, aged at 473 K was determined by small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) combined with wide angle X-ray difraction (WAXD). It was noted that the interfaces between the crystalline phase and amorphous phase in this aged metallic glass have sharp boundaries. The internal specific surface area decreased from 1.4 × 10 2 m 2/cm 3 to 85 m 2/cm 3 when the aging period was increased from 5 min to 4 h.
