Abstract

Using the finite element method, the effect of the deformation velocity on the process of cold backward extrusion with the expansion of axisymmetric hollow bronze parts has been studied. It is shown that at an increase of the velocity of deformation, the extrusion force decreases and the temperature of the deformed metal increases, the force to extract the punch from the deformed workpiece and the force to push it out of the die decrease when forming hollow parts made of bronze BRASS 377 CDA.
