Abstract

The results of an out of the scattering plane electroproduction coincidence experiment are reported for the reaction p(e, e′π0)p. The cross section ratio σ LT /σ TT has been determined by fitting the data. Assuming M 1+-dominance, the neutral pion production amplitude S 1+ has been extracted relative to the M 1+-amplitude. Systematic uncertainties were minimized by using a symmetric set-up and by measuring the whole azimuthal angle range. Three values of the amplitude ratios at and near the Δ-resonance have been extracted at a momentum transfer of Q 2=0.127(GeV/c)2.
