Abstract

This paper examines the determinants of a point of sales (POS) system adoption perceived by micro small medium enterprises (MSMEs) by using a cross-section survey data set of the largest population province in Indonesia, West Java. A binary logistic regression is employed to analyse the influence of subjective norms, images, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on POS system adoption. Valid and reliable questionnaires are used to collect data. This paper finds that image and perceived usefulness have an impact on the adoption. This result indicates that in the MSMEs context, image and perceived usefulness are factors that have a positive and significant impact on the adopters in terms of functionality.
