Abstract

When optical altazimuth telescope conducting Geostationary orbit object detection, staring star and staring satellite are two ordinary work mode. This article proposes two different kinds of object detection methods based on the characteristic of object imaging of above two work mode. When staring star, symmetrical difference is presented to reduce star interference, and remaining star interference can be further reduced by correlating the object characteristic of the adjacent two frames. And staring satellite, a modified difference is presented. The adjacent two frames are differented twice, star interference is reduced, target objects are binary and marked, and objects are detected by the logical most neighboring method finally. Results of experiment indicates Geostationary orbit objects can be detected precisely and effectively by using this two detection methods.
