Abstract

With the rapid development of China's inland waterway transport, inland ships are getting to a tendency of larger size and deeper draft. During the dry season of waterway, some ships exceed the maximum draft and take a risk to pass through the shallow channel, which may easily lead to the ship grounding. Aiming at this problem, relative research situation at home and abroad and the present underwater measurement technologies are analyzed, and a design of dynamic measurement system of inland ship draft based on multi-beam Sonar system is proposed. Based on the data obtained from the multi-beam Sonar positioned under water, the real-time image and value of ship draft can be shown in software interface. From the aspect of hardware structure and software algorithm, its measurement principle and configuration scheme are presented. And its imaging result and measurement precision are proved with an example test.
