Abstract

The waveguide is a hollow metal which has a function to transmit electromagnetic waves. This paper discusses a passive device of double – irises rectangular waveguide Band Pass Filter (BPF) with carried out simulation modeling. This BPF implemented with waveguide technology which the rectangular waveguide used is WR 284, with inductive resonant window structure consisting of 6 resonators. The waveguide filter is planned to operate at S-band and applied to airport surveillance Radar systems. The simulation results of aluminum rectangular waveguide filter performance that are designed with double - irises coupled models and using Butterworth method shows response low insertion loss and a bandwidth of 60 MHz.
