Abstract

The microphone for fully implantable hearing devices implanted under the skin of the temporal bone can be affected by masticatory movement and moving artifact. In this paper, we designed implantable microphone of 2-channel structure for anatomical noise reduction by masticatory movement, and fabricated experiment model using the artificial skin and skull model. And then manufactured microphone was implanted at experiment model. We applied air-conducted signal and the vibration by masticatory movement. As a result, we confirmed the affect of the vibration by masticatory movement and possibility of anatomical vibration noise reduction by 2-channel microphone output.
