Abstract

Oriented, highly conducting polyacetylene was obtained using a thermally aged Shirakawa catalyst. The temperature dependencies of the specific conductivity and the anisotropy of the conductivity of iodine-doped samples are described. The structures of new conducting salts which were obtained by electrochemical and chemical doping, [(CH)(SbF 6) 0.06)], [(CH)(SbF 6) 0.06)] and [(CH)(SbF 6) 0.06)] were characterized by X-ray diffraction experiments.
