Abstract

This article analyzed the coupled relationship between the symmetrical resonant cavity and waveguide. The parameters of an efficient photonic crystal (PC) filter are presented. Secondly, because the ferrite material used in PC presents the characteristic of anisotropic with a constant magnetic field. Photonic band gap is adjusted by using the magnetic field, is investigated theoretically. Finally, the finite element method is used to simulate depend on the result of theoretical analysis [1]. After the structural parameters of the photonic crystal filter are being regulated repeatedly, a double channel photonic crystal filter of microwave band is designed, with its output channel decided by the external magnetic field.
