Abstract

The detection of oil-water interface is the key point in the protection of cavern roof during dissolving. In this paper, the dual capacitive sensor working principle of oil-water interface is studied. With the method of equal-precision digital frequency measurement and Nios II technology, the detection of oil-water interface for salt cavern is developed, the system includes the ground control module, underground control module, Manchester conditioning modules and other parts of capacitive sensors, ground module and underground module is connected with cable, Manchester code is used to communicate with each other. Experimental results show that the system can be compensated automatically, it has good stability, and it can measure the oil-water interface with accuracy of 1mm.
