Abstract
In this letter, we calculate and simulate $1\times 2$ MMI coupler at the MIR wavelength of $2\mu m$ on the SOI platform. According to the self-image theory, the $1\times 2$ MMI’s parameters are calculated, as well as the $1\times 2$ MMI coupler is simulated, and the structure parameters are optimized. The optimization results are obtained, and the power splitting ratio can be achieved 49.98: 50.02.
