AbstractThis paper analyses the significant features of big data in highway service areas, discusses the current problems and needs of big data in the application and management process of highway service areas, and designs the overall architecture and main functions of the application and management platform of big data in highway service areas from data collection, data storage, data governance, data mining and analysis and visualization to display the key processes of big data. The overall architecture and main functions of the big data application management platform for expressway service areas are designed to provide scientific and effective unified management and in-depth mining and analysis of the information in motorway service areas, and to support the construction of intelligent motorway service areas.
