Abstract

Artificial Intelligent and Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) have been producing various learning systems that effectively improved the learning process for the last decades. The integration of ITS with the Internet of Things (IoT) architecture has the potential to make the products of ITS more interactive, engaging and effective. Thus, this study discussed the design and development of an ITS coined CRISTAL 5.0 that utilized the theories of multimedia learning, ITS, and IoT design. The application has been tested in actual setting and the results show that the students that have learned with the personalized learning material have significantly better result than the group that was given the non-personalized learning materials. The application also has the ability to intelligently assign students learning according to the students' learning profiles and can be accessed via the website or mobile platform.
