Abstract

The nuclear superdeformed (SD) rotational bands in [Formula: see text] mass region were systematically analyzed with the two-parameter [Formula: see text] formula. The study of the observed transition energies by using the best-fitting method shows that the [Formula: see text] formula can provide excellent descriptions of the SD bands. The analysis of two types of moments of inertia ([Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]) and bandhead moment of inertia ([Formula: see text]) also demonstrates the reliability of the [Formula: see text] formula in describing the SD bands. Finally, by using the [Formula: see text] formula, the unobserved transition energies for the lower and higher spin regions were predicted herein.
